Hi Reader,

It's 18 days to go and we're celebrating Jesus' birthday.

How are your preparations?

As always, I do my decorations and gift-wrapping close to Christmas, not only because I'm always procrastinating ( are you like me, lol! ) but I'm just so busy with other things.

OVERWHELMED, there. So many stuff on my plate.

I do plan and prepare early, like I did some shopping already for gifts, but life at home has been chaotic with lots to organize, so I still have to find time.

But, I'm big on MEMORIES.

Material gifts are not my cup of tea. I just give small inexpensive gifts, something that hopefully the receiver will remember years to come why you gave that gift or something that he can use for a long time.

Especially for kids, something that they will enjoy. Like books and chocolates.

I also love taking pictures and videos. I have lots on my phone and always planning to make videos for memories later.

But, how can I find the time?

BTW, last night, we watched the stage musicale, The Sound of Music, where Layla, my talented niece performed as Brigitta von Trapp, one of the 7 kids of Capt von Trapp.

WOW! It was an awesome play and Layla nailed it. The actors are all good singers and dancers. The production was awesome.

We were seated at the very first row of seats and it was so nice watching up so close and personal.

Layla is the girl who would sing in any family event, and she could sing lots of songs at performance level. Such talent and passion.

We cannot wait to watch her in Broadway someday.

I'm sure if you have little kids, especially if they are special, singing is one talent that they can develop, with your guidance.

Singing always brings joy in us and these days, Christmas songs bring peace and happiness in everyone.

I always play The Christmas songs by Pentatonix. They are so upbeat and uplifting.

Yes, 18 days more ( forgot to send this letter sooner ) and please read this post for more ideas on what to do until Christmas.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Marita

Hi Reader, My hubby and I went home for a long vacation last month in January and saw first-hand the fully-built indoor play area for our special kids. We had it blessed and had a ribbon-cutting to formally open it, although it has been used already in the previous years, even though it was partially done, way back. Watch out for the full video of this important milestone of our project. Meanwhile, please enjoy my latest post about the updates. This post is long overdue, but I just have to...

Hi Reader, I'm just excited to announce that our project, the Play area for our special kids at the Romblon East Central School in Romblon, Philippines, is almost done. We started our fundraising and the project, way back in 2017. I know, it has been a long time, 6 years now, but remember, we started from nothing and with all your support, we have done a long way and hopefully, it should be done in a few months. Recently, we started putting in tiles to the flooring, and when this is done, we...

Click the image to read Hi Reader, Are you like me, who is so busy with full-time work and household chores, and other personal activities, that getting all the stuff for your child/ren's school materials are not that ready yet? Of course, as parents especially of small kids and/or children with special needs, we need to prioritize the things that they need for the school opening. I prepared this checklist ( at the end of the post ) for all of you, busy bees like me, so you don't forget...
